This song is about the end of an unrequited love affair: a falling in love so consuming that it grows to biblical proportions, destroying everything else inside your mind. It is a destruction from which you cannot hide, waking you up in the middle of the night, making a shipwreck of your life. Yet while this mayhem erases every pattern you had forced your old life into, a new energy rises from the dust and makes you feel alive again for the first time in ages: out of the old shell you created for yourself a new self is born. From darkest catastrophe we journey to joyous rebirth, and let the waters from the flood wash us clean.
